What is a guided meditation and how does it work? In this article, we will try to answer that question. Making time to set down the mental baggage we accumulate throughout each day reduces stress & improves our mental health over time.

If you can visualize it in your mind, you can go there in physical reality. Meditate at least once a day. Meditating is simply clearing the mind.

You do not need to be a Buddhist monk to properly meditate at home. It’s enough to make yourself aware of the usefulness of meditation for your body and mind.

You do not have to travel to the far east to master meditation. It’s enough to be at home, arm yourself with the will, patience, and advice.

You can not change the whole world, but you can change yourself and fulfill the feeling of happiness while meditating. A happy man is an invaluable treasure today and everyone will want to warm up next to you.

When you want to find calm inside yourself, go to a quiet place. Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Feel the part of your body and mind that is stressed, then release the disturbing stress with the exhale of your breath. If disturbing thoughts continue, explore the root of stress, meaning the source of fear or anxiety. Then repeat. What is a guided meditation and how does it work?

What Is Guided Meditation And How Does It Work

There is no single answer to the question of what exactly meditation is. It is most often described as a conscious presence, moving away from our own thoughts, observing ourselves from a distance.

This is analogous to looking at ourselves and our thoughts through a window, where we try to move away from the daily chatter of our mind, which has the potential to think about a thousand unrelated things. Meditation is helpful to do before relaxation and have peace of mind.

Meditation is a powerful technique for success, and yet many people have an aversion to meditation. They think that it is too “voodoo”, too weird, they say that they are too busy, etc. They often say that they do not have time to meditate. And the reality is that you have to find time to learn how to meditate. Meditation can last 3, 5, 12, 15 min. you don’t have to sit in the lotus position with your legs crossed on a pillow for an hour or three hours. You can start easy and build yourself.

It’s much easier when you start guided meditation when you have music when someone’s voice guides you through the steps. Then your mind does not wander so much and it is much easier to follow. Don’t get lost in all those stories, in what you need to do, in thinking about the past, in worrying about the future, which we mostly do.

How To Meditate?

Here’s how I do it: Get in a quiet place where there are no distractions. You could sit on your bed in your room, outside, etc

Put on relaxing meditation music from YouTube or a sound app. Sit down and relax. Get into a position that is comfortable for you. Listen to the music and focus on the sounds. Let the music push out any negativity or lingering thoughts in your mind.

Don’t try to actively push any thoughts away. Let them come, observe them for just a short moment, then let them drift away. I imagine the thoughts of positive affirmations kind of like Twitter posts in my mind. I observe them for a moment, then imagine the post drifting away.

Focus on your breathing. Where does the breath go into your body?

How does it feel when you breathe in and out. What shape is the air making as it moves? Focus on just your breathing and let yourself relax. Meditate for as long as you wish and stop whenever you are ready.

Take a moment to really relax your muscles, relax your eyes, and settle in. And just sit with your breath. Breathing in and out. Moving energy in your body with your breath. With each breath in, invite something positive inside. Whether it’s a mantra, a feeling, an image. It doesn’t matter. With each breath out, allow yourself to release whatever is holding you down. Whatever it is that is in your mind, let it go.

Meditation is a really good skill to know. It is very useful in life in general. It’s nice to sit back and relax for a moment and have some calm and control in your day. It really is a very very helpful skill to know.
