5 Easy Ways How To Stop Being Indecisive Person

How to stop being indecisive? More people have been asking me lately about how to stop being indecisive. It is difficult to make decisions, especially when the choice is not clear. But indecision can be a very expensive habit when you have to make an important decision:

  • Due to indecision, you may miss out on an opportunity or a profit.
  • People who expect your decision will become frustrated.
  • You will experience stress because you can not decide and additional stress due to people waiting for your decision.

Indecisive people are generally aware that they do not want to be like this, so I will not further prove the negative sides of indecision. It’s not fun, and I sympathize with those who suffer from this problem.

How to stop being an indecisive person? This is a very common question I get from my clients. Indecision is often a sign of fear. A fear of making the wrong decision and a fear of what others may think or say. Therefore, if you are overly sensitive about what others think about you, you will experience indecision.

Indecisiveness can hinder your career, relationships, and your personal life. If you are an indecisive person, here is how to stop being indecisive. In order to be decisive and at the same time not hurt yourself or other people, it is recommended to have a set of positive affirmations in place. Positive affirmations are statements that support you in becoming the person you want to be. Positive affirmations allow you not to become overly sensitive about what others think or say.

I wonder how many times have people walked up to you and asked your opinion. And when that happens, what did you tell them? Did you say, “I don’t know?” Or did you give them a good answer, a positive one? Or, maybe you just stood there fumbling for words?

But, if you’re like most people, you probably said, “I don’t know.”The question is why do you say that? If I asked you right now if you were an indecisive person, would that make you feel bad about yourself? We often feel bad about our faults and mistakes. So, we try to hide them. When people ask us questions that give us the opportunity to show our faults or weaknesses, we try to avoid those questions. We say “I don’t know.”It’s as if we expect others to criticize us if they knew what we really thought. And sometimes they do.

You cannot hesitate. The only thing worse than being incompetent or being unkind or being evil is being indecisive.

Fear stops you from moving forward in life. On the way to achieving anything you want, you have to step up to various challenges that make you feel fearful. Fear is a normal part of life but it becomes a problem when it controls you.

A person who is indecisive is not able to stand up to fear and this leads to procrastination and inactivity. By being indecisive you give up on your goals and stop trying to achieve them. If you desire to be an active person in your life, then follow these steps to stop feeling indecisive:

1. Practice constructive living

2. Stop relying on others

3. Take action while you still can4. Make mistakes now instead of later

How to Stop being indecisive? It is crucial to recognize the situation in which you are stuck on a decision while it is happening. And after that, you have to decide how to try out new decision-making habits. Here is how to stop being an indecisive person.

5 Easy Ways How To Stop Being Indecisive Person: Overcome your indecision with these powerful techniques

How to overcome indecisiveness? We often want to achieve a goal, but it is difficult for us to make the decision to do it. Sometimes it is laziness, but if we exclude it, indecision can come from different directions. Insufficient knowledge of the future, fear of consequences, misunderstanding of the elements regarding the decision…

Because all things are inherently complex when it comes to our inner world, indecision should be defeated by the right strategy.

How to stop being an indecisive person is one of the most common questions asked by people who find themselves always postponing their decisions or constantly rethinking and changing their minds. But the question is: why are you indecisive about things? There can be various explanations for this problem. First of all, some of it has to do with the lack of self-confidence. If a person does not believe in himself, he surely will have trouble making decisions.

As well, if you have a habit of worrying about everything, it may be that you are simply overthinking everything. Then, the fear of failure can also lead you to a life full of endless “what ifs”. And then there is the fact that you might have been previously hurt by others or maybe your parents used to criticize everything you did when you were a child and so now you are not sure if your choices are good enough or not.

A lot of people are indecisive. I would say that 95% of people I meet could be more decisive. If you want to become a decisive person here are some affirmations to help you get there.

First, you have to change your thought process. By telling yourself that you’re indecisive, your actions can then be indecisive as well. One way to improve this is by telling yourself positive affirmations to improve your decisiveness.

“I make great decisions”

I am decisive”

“I am not indecisive”

These five techniques are enough to make them your winning strategy. You may only need one, and maybe all five. Be that as it may, apply them, and success will not fail. Here are 5 ways how to stop being an indecisive person.

1. Visualize Possible Outcomes

If you want something, visualize. Really it is easy. If it is hard, you are doing it too much. It should be easy.. The key is ease.

There is something so powerful about the mind’s ability to visualize yourself in a place that you dream of getting to, whether it be your lifelong goal or a daily task you’ve been dreading.

The mindset we create begins with our ability to envision ourselves doing something. If you want a more positive environment, visualize it.

If you want that dream job or you want to make that dance team, envision yourself in uniform actually doing it.

Start there, and you can go anywhere. Energy does not lie. Positivity feeds your possibilities in all the best ways. Self-doubt distracts you.

Visualisation works most powerfully when you realise that it is already a reality on the unseen level. It’s already there. Eckhart Tolle

2. Synergy

Everything is energy. Your thoughts begin it, your emotions amplify it, and your intention increases its momentum.

It doesn’t always take everything we do to be connected to what we want to accomplish. Sometimes it is worthwhile to devote to other things that are not directly related to our goals. This will create a synergy of action.

The realization of dreams will not only bring you success and satisfaction but also mental health and healthier relationships. But the reverse is also true.

Improving relationships with loved ones and improving your mental health through meditation and introspection will increase your chances of dreaming and self-realization.

Living and achieving goals involves interaction with people and is not possible in isolation.

Sometimes to achieve the improbable, we need help. Whether we seek that help or understand the scope of the situation is another matter entirely.

We can be stubborn, headstrong, and disillusioned. We can be timid; not wanting to be a bother or a burden. We can be scared, afraid of what others will think terrified of rejection.

These flaws are ingrained in all of us. We each have a choice. Either we give in to these feelings, letting them consume us, or we resist.

3. Release Your Fears

Much of the indecision comes from fears of a bad decision. In order to be less hesitant, you need to let go of your fears. Many experts recommend that you look at fears in one of two ways: evaluate the worst-case scenario or imagine the consequences of indecision.

Know your higher self. You have an essence that is your true authentic nature. Recognize its voice and trust it at all times. Be unconditional love. Be your own source of love beyond the condition and when you emanate this, only more good things can flow into your life abundantly.

Fear is only known to your mortal soul, the higher-self is evolved beyond the comprehension of fear.. it simply does not exist. Practice forgiveness. Everyone has their own pain and at times, painful lessons come from those we love and trust the most. Believe in your own power.

The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves. Alan Watts

4. Simplicity

In life, we often tend to complicate things. It is a subconscious way of going the line of less resistance without thinking that we are trying as hard as we can. We do whatever it takes, but things are complicated, we cannot achieve them so easily.

Ask yourself if there is an easier way. Understand that things are as complicated as you make them complicated. If you have a goal, there is always the easiest way to reach it and those less easy. Always choose the simplest and fastest. This is a principle that should be adhered to.

Once you realize that the road is the goal and that you are always on the road, not to reach a goal, but to enjoy its beauty and its wisdom, life ceases to be a task and becomes natural and simple, in itself an ecstasy.

5. Parkinson’s Law

This is a law about deadlines and focusing on the important things. You must have already experienced the situation when you have a week to do something, to spend the first five or six days surrounding the whole thing, and only towards the end do you focus on the important things and really do something.

So when you set yourself a goal, give yourself some time to accomplish it. Ask yourself how long it takes you to do it and give yourself a deadline. Set yourself up as if this has to end within that deadline or it will be none of that. This will make you really focus on the important things and achieve your goal.

Work expands to fill the time available for it’s completion.

What Does Being Indecisive Say Out A Person?

When people are far too indecisive, it can say a lot about them. Some people don’t know the value of a decision until it’s already too late. Others simply don’t make an effort to make the right decision. No matter what the reason is, there are some that just can’t make a decision that will benefit them and others.

A new study from Ryerson University, published in the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology, has revealed that people who are indecisive have a limited vocabulary and tend to be more pessimistic.

The study finds that people that are indecisive are more likely to select one option with certainty, while also selecting a wider range of words when describing themselves. People that are more decisive, on the other hand, tend to use fewer words and have more positive words in their vocabulary.

The study was conducted with 96 undergraduates at Ryerson University. Participants were asked questions about decision-making and then asked to rate themselves on a scale of 1-10 based on a series of positive and negative adjectives.

Results also found that people who rated themselves higher in indecisiveness were more likely to have lower self-esteem, but indecisiveness did not have any effect on self-esteem for those that are more decisive.

Being indecisive is a trait that tends to show up in almost everyone. It is not a result of indecisiveness, but rather a result of fear. By definition, indecisiveness is “the condition of being unable to make up one’s mind; especially: inability to decide between alternatives because of conflicting considerations”.So, what causes indecision? What exactly does being indecisive say about a person?

Every decision that we make has emotional and logical elements attached to it. It’s possible that someone can be so fearful of making the wrong decision, that he or she freezes and is unable to make a decision at all.
